Lets see some Austrian coins, please post away!

    Hello Everyone,
as some of you know I mainly collect Icelandic Coins. While I was away from Cointalk I started a collection of Austrian coins, mainly 2 Hellers. Well I have nearly completed that set, I just need an 1892 to finish it off. Here are a couple photos from that set. (these are the same photos from an earlier post). I would really like to see some other Austrian coins if you have them. I'm trying to decide where to go next. I'm hoping that someone has something that catches my eye!

    Thanks in Advance,
    Mark in NJ

Great Hellers Mark. I'm just now getting into collecting the 25 Schillings. Picked up these two a week ago. My dealer has a pretty sizable inventory of Austrian.

The first one, Mariazell, is on several Austrian coins - either the church or the madonna. In the mid-1930s the Mariazell Madonna (Magna Mater Austriae) was on a 5 schilling silver coin http://www.ma-shops.de/moeller/pic/a...8_combined.jpg and a 100 schilling gold coin. Then, in 1957, your coin was issued. In 1982 it was the madonna again, see http://www.muenzauktion.com/duerr/pi...11003010_m.jpg ... and the last one so far came out in 2007: http://www.webheimat.at/magazin/Fina...uenze_high.jpg

And Mozart has been depicted on many Austrian pieces ... Click here to enlarge He is even on the €1 circulation coin: http://ec.europa.eu/economy_finance/.../image8589.gif
