I have been patient for four years...looking for a nice upgrade to this otherwise respectable '31-D. I think the coin is a lot tougher than we think.

She's pretty enough. I'd just like a little time with the Angelina upgrade. Click here to enlarge

Yeah! I've noticed that as well! What is it about that date? Were the sets issues in different holders than previous years? Unusual amounts of sulfuric acid in the cellophane?

Sure would like to know! Click here to enlarge

... Oh, and gorgeous coin, by the way. Click here to enlarge

I bought this as an NGC 67RD five years ago, for $183. But I like my coins in PCGS plastic so I crossed it.

You may know that NGC is a little more liberal with lofty grades, especially for copper. So often that means a drop in PCGS's grade.

This time it was slabbed as a 67RD top pop, one of 16, and a crazy price guide value of $3900! LOL. Of course getting it is another matter altogether. My heirs will probably sell it to my B&M for $20.

If you don't wanna leave it as a $20 bill to your heirs, I'll gladly accept it Click here to enlarge

Tough, though coin in MS grades....finding one with red is very difficult. I looked for years too.

Yeah, me too. Finally broke down and paid through the nose for a 65 RD in pcgs plastic. These make the 31S look as common as a morgan dollar.
