Thread: Post a Toned Coin

Last one before bed.

Old cleaning, but I still dig it.

I'm sure this isn't that nice or rare. I cut it out of a us mint set that I sold the half and dime out of. I'm not a big toned coin person but I like the colors in this one.

Does this rate as a toned coin?

Here one that was just sent to Anacs to have the GSA type holder grading done.

Decided to check out my proof sets and found this one!


The Lincoln is not much and so far the half has not changed. That nickel is both bluer and brighter than I could capture!

When you take your picture take some tracing paper roll it up and pale around the edges of the plastic case. Set your lights round the paper to give the coin a nice glow and take the photo. Tends to work nicely but it works better if you have a tri-pod. I am still an amature at this so please dont bash too hard Lehigh LOL.

lol gonzo. No one can bash anyone about how to image photos. Everyone has a different way to do it.

LOL Thanks and wow on your images. I am still working on mine. I just bought the wife a nice camara with the intent of capturing some nice coin pics with it as well lol. Was originally using my iPhone and a weak camara but this new camara is working nicely. Will post pictures soon.

Can't remember if I have posted this one, but I just took new images of it.
