My other hobby if photgraphy, and i use a canon 20d with a 180mm macro lens and 500close-up lens attached. and with that you can have pictures like this. like coin collecting is all in the budget. but for taking pictures of coins, you should getting anything that would shoot macro. My friend has one and he can take pics of a 2mm long Gold nugget and they come out looking as if the nugget is big as a house.
