Nice find Bone. Just proves there is a little history in every coin we find. My dad and a friend of his used to toss coin and shoot them with a .22 cal rifle. Dad's friend was a bit better at it than he was. It was cool to hear the coin zing off when hit, but the best were the coins they punched holes through.

i have a quarter just like that. I shot it with my marlin 9 mm camp gun from about 30 yards out in the desert. didnt throw it in the air though, not that good of a shot. was lucky to find it in the dirt afterwords.

I blasted a quarter with my 155 mm howitzer. Never did find it.

Looks like a SGS Rarity. More target practice is needed. Missed the center by serveral millimeters.
