I found an EBay listing for a Japanese-occupied Chinese coin, with an incorrect description, so I asked the seller where he got the information, and he said "Simon and Schuster". It was an East Hopei 1 chiao, listed as an East Hopei 20 cent.
A short stint on Google turned up
The Simon and Schuster World Coin Catalogue, Twentieth Century 1986-87 Edition, which seems to be the latest edition.
Used copies are available pretty cheap on Amazon, but since all I know about it is that it has at least one wildly erroneous listing, I was wondering if anyone is familiar with it and knows whether that was typical.
