Mainly Error collector From Southeast

Greetings,

I will fill out my profile later, but I wanted to say Hello and ask some ametuer questions.

Where is the best place to find possible error coins (I collect pennies)? I go to banks but would like to acquire mint bags full or large quantity of pennies, any pennies will do because I have found that the US penny has far more errors listed in the RedBook than any other denomination.

Does anyone know why the penny is distinguished with so many different, bona-fide errors than any other denomination????

What is the best cheapest for both viewing coins for errors and taking zoomed pictures or scanning.

Howdy coin_interest - Welcome to the Forum !!

If you want mint bags of cents your best bet is to buy them from a dealer. Because of changes the mint has made you won't find many errors in todays coins.

To answer your other question, you find more errors on cents because they make them by the billions and have for decades.

If you have a video camera that is capable of taking still pictures, I say go to Best Buy and get this WIDE ANGLE LENS.

The lens comes in two pieces, the micro and macro. Together, they produce a wide angle lens. Take the outer lens off and use the lens labled macro. Then you can take pictures like this >>CLICK ME<<

Another place you might be able to get coin errors is by posting something in the OPEN forum... it's a good place to trade with other people or get your word out that you'd like penny errors.

And welcome to cointalk... you don't need to fill out your profile... I don't think I ever did
