Fraudulent eBay seller?
I can't imagine what the reason is for these 2 listings
This one closed with 14 bids. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...T#ht_500wt_950
This one has reopened and looks to me like the same coin with altered certification number. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...6#ht_500wt_950 -

nevermind... the bar codes are different... just a coincidence that the cert numbers are similar the 45 looks like it was turned in to a 15

This is Harlan J Berk out of Chicago, 31 N Clark St. These people are fine folks, have been in business for years and are totally on the up and up. I have bought from their store many times when in Chicago on business trips. Tom DeLorey who used to publish "Collectors Clearinghouse" in Coin World still works there, as does Bob Greenstein. Tom DeLorey is one of America's most respected numismatists. I don't know Harlan J Berk personally but I wager he has sterling credentials as well.

Online Dealer of Mpc
Looks a little suspicious to me as well -
there is no spoon
Harlan Berk is a quality dealer with a stellar reputation (unlike many eBay sellers). I have a great deal of difficulty believing anything is amiss with their offerings.

It's cool. I buy a lot off of eBay and I do my best to be wary. I'll put bids in mass and check back the following day. There have been occasions, more than once where I didn't win by a bid and then look down at the bottom of the page, where eBay sends you that - "IF YOU LIKED THIS ITEM THEN MAYBE YOU WILL LIKE THESE" and saw the same coin I didn't win relisted. I'm sure some sellers schill bid the coins if they think it's going to close too low. As I said I am wary and now, I post to call out these sellers I suspect. THIS WAS NOT ONE OF THEM
I had to look at the listings several times. Even the 64/65 is a bit blurry on both listings, the coin has the same greenish hue, cert number is blurry just like how they turn a 1944 into a 1914..... Thats why it I started off my initial post, " Not sure why someone would do this" .....anyways. I couldn't find a way to delete the thread.

Not only is Mr. Berk's reputation unquestionable he has further impressed me with the YN program that he sponsors through the ANA. My son will be recieving a nice collection of ancient coins over the next year or so thanks to Mr Berk donating all the coins for the program.

I'm not doubting the coin dealer's rep, but it seems that they should understand the value of better pictures. Anytime I see a blurry or low quality picture I get suspicious. Doesn't mean I won't buy the coin, but it is a strike against the seller.

So... is it common here for folks to bîtch about how others post?
Honest question. I'm trying to get a feel for the place.
