    Wink Newest error I bought at shop Unknown date way off strike 60% I think

    This is the newest find I bought, thought it was pretty cool
    not sure why theres patina on it though.

    I told the coin dealer around here to set all the errors aside so he held that one for me, and I just bought it today.

    It is also possible it is a 1982 because 1982 was a transition year with both bronze and then later zinc cents struck.

    How did you guys know that it was 1982 or later , because of the color?

    The zinc core shows through where the copper plating was stretched. Zinc cents were not struck until mid-1982. Check your Red Book.

    Ahh ok, I hopefully will be able to upload my friends quarter when he finds it, it seems to be another good find.
