I just got these two coins as a gift. I also have an unrated 1998 1oz $100 Platinum Eagle that I think is MS-65-68... but I am not a coin grader... it has flaws, but they're small. I was gonna sell it back to APMEX when I wouldn't lose any money... but if it rates well I can sell it back for $200 more than an unrated coin... I doubt it will rate MS-69... based on the fact that I can't find the flaw in my 2005 MS-69 1/10th oz coin (mintage 5,000). I know the Panda could be worth a lot if it's rated high too, it has a higher mintage (20,000) but for some reason Panda coins are worth ridiculous amounts (early 2000 PR-70 Pandas in SILVER go for 1k+, who pays that much for modern silver!). It's not a proof but it looks flawless, and I'm just wondering what the two coins I got are worth now.... any Ideas? Oh yeah I got way unlucky when I bought the 1oz Eagle... I got the highest mintage by a HUGE margin... 2005 they minted 5,100... in 1998 they minted 130,000! 97 is second worst @ 30,000.
