My Mood: | Dansco 7070 problem !!
Question to all....
In my Dansco 7070 album I have found that some of the holes are just too small for the coins which I have acquired....anyone ever encountered with this problem?? and if so, any suggestions/solutions??

I have switched over to Dansco Albums in recent years, and never have had a problem.
What coins are kept in the 7070 album?

The Dansco 7070 is the book for United States type sets.

I've had trouble with some of my type sets in Capital plastic holders. I think because the coins were so worn, they were smaller than the holes. Maybe that's the problem.

I actually have a solution for when the coins are smaller than the hole but not when the hole is smaller than the coins!

Sorry, I should have read your post more carefully.
I don't know what you do when the hole is smaller than the coin.
I have had similar problems with some little albums designed for statehood quarters. The quarters don't fit, and when I get them in, using considerable pressure, they often times just fall out. Very frustrating.
Good luck on finding a solution.

Yep, that might work. Don't know what else you can do.

I have had the same problem. Uncirculated coins will not fit. I have had this problem with different albums.
I have heard that "stealth" albums are best but do not own one.
A solution I have used, is to use a dremel tool to grind it down to make a perfect fit.

kind of sucks! | That same stinker is a problem for me as well! I've got it in there but not quite a good as I would like it to be. I'm going to try & remove it and enlarge the hole a bit...other than that, the rest have given me no problem...YET.

so i wonder what the problem with trimes is?
one of the trimes i purchased was in a capital plastics holder... but not exactly. the coin did not fit in the hole so the previous owner had just sandwitched it in ( screwed the top plastic piece on over the coin )

I haven't even tried to put a trime in there yet!!
I'm having the problem with an 1830 capped bust half......and its even more frustrating because I have finally found a nice looking piece that will fit in with the rest.
oh well, i'll try and enlarge the hole and if not I'll just tape it to the front of the album |
