Question need some help with this one

Can anyone tell me what this is?... is it an error? and if so what? Looks kinda like cud? grins, I don't know..thats why I come here, to ask you...I can't even tell the date for sure..
and... I also found this penny... is this an error?

The first looks like a casino nickle. They get really banged up through repeated payouts. The second is a lincoln cent which has seen a sander. I say this because all of the high points show the zinc core. Yes the cent is only copper plated. It has a zinc center which a few people will only believe once they've seen it. Hence the sanding.

I thought that about the penny , but wasn't sure... but the nickle, it looks like it has extra clad on it..built up over the edge and date???

The effect of repeated dropping on edge in slot machines (or vending machines for that matter) is similar to the effect of ">> spooning <<" the coin, it just takes a while.

Under the neck (nickel) @5 o'clock it looks like there lamination problem. Hard to tell because the coin is so worn.
