1955 Jeff nickel exchange?
Here's a fun "problem:"
I have a boyhood Jefferson nickel set that I finished up recently. The collection is in circulated condition (basically F to VF).
A 1955 Jeff is the only one left that's outside the F or better range. I've got a beat up one that might come in around a G4. Got it when I was a kid by searching rolls.
It's not a key date (none of the Jefferson nickels are really "key" in the strict sense of the word), but I've had no luck finding another one in a roll nowadays, either.
Indeed, I've gone through heaps of rolls in search of this one Jeff. (I actually found a lot of other nice old ones while doing so: it's not been a fruitless endeavor).
I haven't had success finding a dealer with one in regular circulated condition, either. Since the 55P is a such a "common" date, they carry it in higher grades only. That won't match the rest of my collection. I just want a regular old circulated one. The circulated 1955 Jeff might be worth about 12 cents.
Anyone out there want to trade or exchange this one for fun? I've got a fair number of other Jeffs or wheatie Lincoln cents that someone else might need.
Kind Regards
Houston_Ray
