OK, I've gone through $7,500 in halves this week and only found 7 40%er's (and 1 Mexican Peso). Really sucked.
I switched over to dimes (about 5 boxes worth) and found
1 Mercury Dime
7 90% Roosevelts
1 1953 Canadian Dime (80% silver)
I also cracked open a box of nickels. I'm less than half way through it, but already found
Handful of Pre 1960 nickels
1 1945 S
1 Buffalo (on the end of a roll, I'm saving it for my son to open)

Had the day off today, went through:
$200 in halves, nothing.
$1000 in dimes (clear cellophane wrappers), 3 90% Roosevelts, 1 Mercury.
$100 in nickels, a few pre-60, nothing too exciting.
$75 in pennies, 4 wheaties.
Can't say it's been a hugely productive day...

vwap,
still get the fee schedule. You can even just ask teller for it. They are required to hand it out upon request. It's usually 1 to 2 pages long. I'm almost certain that there will be a line item on their for rolled coins (I've yet to see one without that listing). There's always a fee for non-customers and it always says free for customers.
Since they aren't charging you, I wouldn't say anything, but if they ever actually pursue, you want that schedule in hand to immediately respond.

Any that were 1973 (IKES were not issued for general circulation in 1973).

I always ask for Ikes and Kennedys. Get a lot of halves.
Might get one Ike every couple of months if I am lucky.
Bought the 1990 Commemorative Proof at the Eisenhower Center in Abilene KS two years ago. This year they didnt have them & said that they cant get them anymore.
The Ikes are pretty coins but they are big!

I carry an Eisenhower in my pocket for the sole purpose of asking for them at the various banks I go to. Not surprising, when asked, many tellers initally respond by saying that they only got the Jefferson Dollars in right now, but they should be getting the Eisenhowers in few months.
This will get even more frustrating when they really do release the Manganese Brass Eisenhower dollar. Again, having an example in hand tends to save quite a bit of time in explaining what I'm asking for.
I also have the problem where the tellers will repeatedly tell me they don't have any, then one day I get the head teller of the same bank telling me that they've had a few dozen of those for years and wondered when they would finally get rid of them.

Four boxes of halves last night --
3 - Franklins (One of them a 1951S AU FBL)
7 - 90% Kennedy
1 - 40% Kennedy
4 - Proofs (82, 85, 89, 90)
4 - 2002+
That's a 0.633% keeper rate.. And even fewer (2 proofs) filled out holes in the books... But I'll take'em any day over a series of "empty" boxes/rolls (which really sucks..).

So, what do you do with 4 boxes of halves when you're done?
