I don't remember if I told this story already or not but I coin hunting road trip a couple weeks ago and ran out of cash so I searched some in the car so I could dump it and keep going. It ended up that that town did have a penny machine behind their counter and they made me open all the rolls so they could run it through the machine. I turned in $300 in halves. they got all confused trying to change bags etc. and ended up trying to tell me I turned in $150 according to the machine!!!! I made them count the papers rolls that they had torn open and pay me $300. they didn't fight it to much as they new they had been screwing up.

In summery: You guys can keep your penny arcades! I'm happy turning in rolls.
None of my banks accept loose coins and the coin star machines charge a very high percentage, so of course I roll mine. With cents, since I pull all copper, I weigh out 125 grams and roll that. It's easier than counting and very accurate once the copper has been removed. Dimes and nickles, I generally count out. Quarters, halves and dollars are put into plastic tubes. I marked each tube at the roll count, so that saves time also. It gives me more time free to search.

Well I asked for 2,000... but they said they probably only have a few more they can order, but I'll have to wait and see. All I kept out of them was 2 76 proofs, a morgan, a peace, and 5 1973's in very nice condition. I don't take the time to check for type 2's or 3's or whatever other people look, just silver and 73s. By the way, if anyone wants to buy some... Click here to enlarge

Since you've already sorted through the mass for the goods ones - how about 75 cents each shipped?

10 quick penny rolls. Only 2 wheats, '53 and '57D but the '53 has a small cud on the left wheat.

Here's a rundown of my $100 nickel box, it was all Customer Wrapped.

    Pre-1960's - 35
    1 Dateless Buffalo
Nice 1962-D, probably a MS64ish coin with most of it's steps
    1 Canadian 1974
    1 2009-D

Overall a pretty decent box, those 09's are tough to find!

Scheduled to visit a client in North NJ today so yesterday I called the local bank I have an account at and the tellers had $7.50 in halves that they would hold for me to pickup today: 1 x '56 Franklin, 2 x '64s, 1 x 40%er

I hadn't seen silver in my last 4 boxes so this was very nice.

Very nice indeed. I haven't had any luck with teller trays. I picked a few, but no silver.
