I keep hearing people say to get rid of the penny and the one dollar bill. Obviously these are people that don't use cash for transactions. At stores everywhere I go more and more people are using plastic or checks and it holds up lines constantly when it is entered wrong, swiped backwards, etc. Paying with cash is fast but a dying item. No one wants to carry the stuff anymore so why try more $1 coins that no one wants. I've been getting the little $1 coins in change all the time fore a quarter and really scared of putting them back as quarters so I never carrythem. Plastic is used at gas stations, all kinds of stores and just about anywhere possible so why worry about getting rid of a penny or dollar bill when in the future there will probably be no cash at all. When you use platic credit or debit cards there is no chance of getting worng change, there is no change, Don't need to know how much cash you've got with you and don't worry as much as to how much something costs. I just wonder how long before people are talking about the good old days when there was this thing called cash.
