Yes zeke- the sulfur will tone and the fresh copper will absorb the sulfur. This is actually the technology of Intercept Shield products- impregenated copper. Wermer White's book: Coin Chemistry suggests this method and I use as well.
Shatzy- what brand are you using for vaccum seal bads. I use Reynolds and Zip lock bags. Zip lock is better and seals better but the writing gets in the way of viewing and it won't fit over Dansco albums so I have to use Reynolds for those type of items. I also use tin dissicant inside for Dansco albums (seal it in there).
