I collect coins from all over the World, personally I do not make a list. I like to be free to browse coins from all over the world and usually buy really cheap priced ones that catch my eye for being worth more than I paid.
Such as a small bag of about 10 coins I purchased, for $3. The coin i was interested in is the German Fed. Rep. 2 Mark 1951-D. I didn't know that it was worth about $25 until I got home and looked it up. But I found it to be a safe bet because 1 of the other coins was a British pound and 1 was a Japan 100 yen. So I already made $2.60 back as soon as I bought the bag, making my cost of the wonderful $25+ 2 Mark's total cost to me 40 cents
