I think you need to say - all business strike 1877's have shallow N. I believe the proof 1877's have a bold N. Clearly this is not a proof - not even a circulated proof.

At least from what I can see on the rims.
I can't begin to guess what it is - early I thought it was a 98, but at home it almost looks like a 79.
