I just took exception to being taken for an intentional deceiver.

Gets my hackles up. Just let me be less stooopid as I learn here.

Besides, if you have ever spent any time handling really HOT metal you get callouses so one can not discern subtle surfaces.

You, as a percussionist, perhaps have big knuckles.
