I reckon you can shave any time you want but it will lessen your chances of winning.
Try siging a pact with the missus. Calmly explain to her that hockey is the only REAL sport in the world. Then duck the flying dishes and grow your beard.
If a dish hits you calmly stitch yourself up. If it gets really ugly put on the foil then go out and beat up some people that really deserve it.
