I wonder if the quarters don't get spotted as often because the design is the same on clad and silvers?

Anybody conditioned to seeing Jefferson and Roosevelt would pick up on an indian / buff and a merc fairly easily.

This is disallowing the look and feel of silver.

At the risk of seeming like a dinosaur I can remember finding Liberty 5¢ in change when I was a kid. They weren't common but popped up every once and while.
