Joseph barr was only in office for something like 88 days, when he was removed from office with the election of a new president. So, many folks back then hurridly saved all the barr notes they could find thinking they would be worth millions in later years. And as we all know, because so many of them were saved, they are not worth what many thought they would be. This might also explain why so many that are found in circulation are in such good shape.
