George,when you see a spam posting,do like what Roy says by clicking on that white triangle.When the message screen come up,type 'SPAMMER!' in the field & post.All the moderators will be alerted via email straight away.

Yesterday,I reported 3 or 4 spam postings alone.It goes to show that we,as a community,have the responsibility for helping get CoinTalk cleaned up.I am usually pretty alert,as I check the list of the newest user names at the bottom of the main page.
