I deal with a few individuals and one LCS. They have bought Au from me at 15 over spot, I only buy at 20 over spot or sometimes just spot. It all depends if they need some stock for their other...

We can buy pre 1033 gold coins that were compensated by the Government. Did the Government re-issue the coins when Americans were allowed to hold gold again? Or are all these coins we buy hiding in...
If this happens, you can have my coins and bullion.
I thought this was to limit the taxes on buying ASE's or AGE's. Something about it just being the changing of money gets taxed differently than buying merchandise. I think I was told this in the...
I have a standing offer for $2.00 over spot on any ASE's to both buy and sell. I don't collect ASE's I just stack them.
When you do the taste test remember, if it taste like rice it would be a Chinese counterfeit and not worth more than the "silver" content.
The .22 is a deadly round. It has a tendency to bounce off bone and hit vital organs. A .22 to the shin can end up in the gut where a higher caliber would just go through the leg.
FYI a .22 hollow point with a touch of nicotine in the middle and a bit of wax to keep it in will make a flesh wound deadly.
Some people know I have PM's, they don't know much, and they don't know where. And believe me if you looking at the vaults you only looking at 10% the rest is hidden where a metal detector wouldn't...
Collecting 2 cent and large cent coins isn't exactly "hording copper" IMO. :)
I think the "Sold Out" is the key here.
Platinum seems to be harder to get than Gold, at least here it is. My LCS keeps the Platinum bullion for me because they know I will buy it. Still I don't get much, it's just not traded around here...
I'll second the respect to out Vets, without their sacrifice I'm sure I wouldn't be here talking about buying and selling Precious Metals. All US veterans are hero's!
Umm, all gold coins look beautiful to me. :)
I don't see any good reason not to pick out the copper cents. I have plenty of room under the bed to stash all that I will come across. There was a time when you couldn't melt silver coins so you...
Nobody has guessed and I don't even know if they have any coinage. Uganda? :smile
Silver is silver plain and simple. What you want is metal that is easy to ID and with it's silver content well known. Eagles, Maple Leafs, and American silver coinage qualifies on all counts. ...
ASE's, ML's, and "junk' silver are all good, easily recognized and well known. I agree with Doug that the small denominations with the silver change will help with small transactions if / when the...
If they were allowed on the market, I would feel sorry for the person that paid 7.5 Mil for what was supposed to be the only one to survive being melted.
I will agree with the OP, the Walking Liberty Half IS my favorite coin.
He asked what do you think about the 5oz America the Beautiful coin. I THINK it's worth 5X spot, that's what I think. I didn't see you make a "sage" or any other statement, enlighten us with what...
To me it's worth spot for 5oz troy
Or you could do what I do and hold the coins and ride the silver horse for a while.

I thought I knew what was ugly until I saw yakpoo's last post! We have a winner!
I have a feeling silver is getting ready to make a run, at least till November. It will make a major move after the elections, up or down depends on the results.
