  1. At the beginning of last year, as I sauntered to through the crowded hallways of my local Wal-Mart, I had stepped upon on a bizzar piece of twisted brown metal. Upon further examination, I discovered it to be a 1901 Indian Head Penny (or what was left of it). It was like no other coin I had ever seen!

    That utter stoke of luck kindeled my interest in coin collecting (for better or worse). 1942-45 silver nickels, 1909-58 wheat ear pennies and of course those irresistable Indian Head pennies are all currently under the radar.
