    Hahaha!

I almost bid on that unattributed 108a in the old ANACS holder...

Nice coin. Glad to hear a forum member got it.

Hey, Lance... Didn't see that last response (below) until just now! Hahaha. Glad to hear the new bike business is booming.

I'll keep my eye out for a nice 18/7 Lg. 8 for ya. Hope all is well, buddy.

    -Brian
  4. Hi Brian,
Sorry for the slow reply. I'm on the road headed to Utah, Miller Motorsports, to put on a motorcycle track event. So I'll be on and offline for the next week.

Glad you like that 1818/7. It's nice and crusty with pretty clean surfaces. I picked it up on ebay a couple of months ago. So-so pictures of a nice coin. I'll think of you but honestly I don't see selling it unless a really sweet AU comes along. Find me one!

    Stay well,
    Lance.

    Hey Lance,

Promise me something - If you ever decide to break up your Capped Bust Half set, give me first short at your '18/7 Large 8?

    Hope all is well, buddy.

    -Brian
  6. Hi Jenn,
Sure, we've all had moments when we were at a disadvantage. I rely on a few dealers whose opinion I trust.

If it feels wrong, walk away. Turn to forum members...here or across the street (PCGS or NGC). Usually there is good advice.
    Lance.

Hey Lance! Thank you so much 4 the 411 I really appreciate it. Have you ever felt like you were suckered outta a coin/s due 2 lack of knowledge? Why is it that when you go 2 dealers here in the bay it feels like you're getting pushed out the door or like you're being jacked?

BTW... I have a cousin named Lance.

Your set is definitely amongst the finest! Give yourself some well-deserved credit, man!

Cherrypicking a '20 No Serifs would be incredible! And actually, I've cherrypicked an R5 before- The unlisted 1808 O.104a. Unfortunately, it was well-worn, but still managed to turn a profit. I'd have kept it for my set just because it's an R5, but it just didn't fit too well, ya know?

Thanks for tracking down a few facts for me! Really appreciate it! Any knowledge I have of this series is extremely helpful, and you'll always be my go-to guy!

    Take Care,
    Brian

Lance,That's incredible! Your set is truly one-of-a-kind. So, you're saying you don't own any examples of the 1820 "No Serifs"? Just curious because I'm having trouble finding a pop./condition census online. My set's coming along slowly but surely, thanks for asking! Recently picked up an 1812 VF35 PCGS (medium grey, bold strike, slight circ. cameo). And a raw, fully-original 1814 (PCGS'd probably give it a 35 as well) arrived at my doorstep this afternoon. Also looking at an 1817 "Punctuated Date" (181.7) VF35 PCGS and an 1827 Curl Base '2' VF30 PCGS. Hope to get a few extra bucks for some stuff I've cherrypicked over the course of a month or so. One piece, of which I paid $50 for, I should double my money on! Score! Whatever extra money I get right now is thrown right into funding this set!-Brian
