The double eagle looks great as well as all the St Gaudens. Nice coins!!! Nothing like the look of older gold. I'll take one of those over a UHR any day. Dont like the scratch on the 25 bust, Ouch.

Absolutely, value is always way down on my list when it comes to enjoying looking at coins.
Its the eye appeal, the fine design, the age and history and how close to MS the coin is that I enjoy.

Absolutely true you know. There are people that have masses amounts of money and they start out with a hobby with coins most of us will never be able to afford. Be happy with what you have and you'll probably end up enjoying those more than a thousand dollar coin.

Your right, if i had cheaper coins i would still be happy collecting them I just enjoy the history and design and stories. "I dream about coins", so no matter what i collect i love the coin NOT THE COST

An Overton description of a bust half is similar to a VAM in Morgan/Peace dollars. Each coin has one. It is the combination ( marriage) of the specific obverse die and specific reverse die that determines the identification number like 1825 O-102 Bust half, or 1878P VAM 1 Morgan. Check this page. it is part of Coinzip.
