I picked this coin up at the show yesterday from the same gentleman who sold me the Satrap coins.

He dated this Drachm to 800-950 AD

    The symbolism completely escapes me/

I can barely see that coin. They shot those pictures with stadium flood lights overhead just to make sure the picture was extra bright.

I'll ask around and see what stirs.

I love the fact that I go through all this trouble to break the mold and make some nice purchases of foreign and ancient coins and here we are discussing a US Commerative!

You didn't LIKE my indian coins?

oh i am in love. i need to send you money so you can go coin hunting for me if that other guy doesnt deliver to you. I hope you have paypal. I forgot to ask do you have submission rights to NGC/PCGS by any chance. i might get an expensive coin here pretty cheap ( a one in a million shot literally and i would love to see the coin in a tomb :D)

Nah - I don't have submittal rights In fact, there is a great Merc I have that badly needs a new case. I doubt I have paypal either. Let me talk to my friend that does a lot of ebay business and see what he says.
