But the thing is, I'm not getting correct coin measurements. Everywhere online and in books show the farthing having a diameter of 20mm. I measured 4 farthings from the 1800s and 1900s, and found them to be 20.193 mm. Then it (most sites) say the penny is 31mm, but I measured an unc one, and it's 30.861mm. So I take it MM pages won't work, eh?
Oddly enough...Dansco makes albums specialized for Australia and Ireland coins (with years and mint marks), but they don't make albums for Great Britain Coins.
How about buying the pages and figuring it out on your own, eh? Just understand that everything may not be perfect, so if you do decide to buy, please do not complain. But, since you will anyways, and even make up a problem if necessary, you might as well just do it not and get it over with.
Yes, complaining is an option. However, just judging by my local coin dealer's comments about Dansco, I doubt they would respond. It's a decades-old, family-owned and operated business that takes the entire month of December off. Nothing wrong with that, I suppose. But from what I hear, it takes Dansco months and months to complete an order. My LCD said that he put in a moderate-sized order for some albums and pages in 2012, and IS STILL WAITING for the order to arrive. Dansco keeps saying that the order is "still being processed". I have also written to Dansco myself to inquire about albums. Three years ago. No reply.
Dansco has no website. Their distributor does. I emailed them asking if they could ask Dansco about GB albums. Great Britain coins are more popular than Irish or Australian coins. Seems odd they would make albums for them, and not GB coins. Whitman used to make GB albums, but discontinued them. I wonder if there any albums you can buy across the pond?
