Sorry it took so long for me to answer, I am saying that the final mintage is what the mint sells not what they make. If I ordered 10 sets from the mint and I find that I can buy 10 graded sets from MCM for a reasonable price I will buy from them and cancel my sets from the mint there fore the mint will lose my order for 10 sets that would have increased the final total...hope this explains my rationale.....Tom

only kind of, Tom. When will you know what MCM will sell graded sets for?

How will they know until after delivery?

Hmm, up exactly 3,000 today (222,979 from 219,979). How’d that happen?

Speculating that they ordered early and I ordered a few weeks after them with my delivery date in August that will give them enough time to have them graded and have a price. This may all be for naught as flea bay already has SP 70 sets as resale sets for 350.00.... OGP may be the way to go if the coin company's fall in line with the flea bay prices.

I guess my point is that your sets will likely ship at the same time

How can they have them up for sale isn't it against ebay policy to list something thats not in your possession?, what if this set is poorly struck and sp70 turns out to be extremely rare?

Highly unlikely as ASE's tend to strike up quite nicely in higher grades due to the care that mint employees administer........

Modern Coin Mart just came out with their NGC pricing on the 2013 eagle set...PF70 = $281.78 (101% over raw mint's price) and PF69 = $174.53 (25% over raw mint's price) across five different label configurations.

So, what's your take on this...justification for lots of mint order cancellations by the big boys, or not? Mint's counter is currently at 231,500.

BTW, the MCM e-mail I just got says that this offer includes free shipping and a free 1/2 ounce silver round, but is only available to those on their mailing list, and only up until they go public with it tomorrow at 12 noon.

MCM pricing is very fair. If you purchased your set direct from the Mint you would pay $140 +$5 S&H = $145, Add NGC grading costs & shipping $30 ($15/ coin) = $175

Plus you know up front that you are getting NGC grade 69 coins. I ordered my set from MCM earlier today.

    Good for ASE slab's types.......:)

Marvelous indeed for you dear fellows. Go ahead and cancel your orders from the mint and buy from MCM. More OGP rarities indeed........

Goldmart is pre-selling RP/MS 70 sets in an NGC Early Release Blue Label @ $269.99 plus $8.95 shipping. This thread seems like a good place to list current offer prices on these graded 2 coin sets, after all we all want a good deal be it in the OGP or Graded sets.

If you look at the 2012 S set, 57,600 were graded by PCGS and NGC. PCGS graded quite a few more reverse proofs than regular proofs, whatever... So that is just over 25% of the total mintage that got graded. If you're looking to buy one, you've got a lot better chance at a graded set than a OGP set, why that is I haven't a clue.

Their website says shipping in mid-July...LOL...you'll be lucky to get it from them by September......
