Is there any more value in a $2 bill at this point -- or is it still worth exactly $2?? just wondering
It depends on several factors. Condition, age, serial numbers etc.. The best thing to do is post a good scan on what you have and someone here can give you an estimate.
But this is the same with any note, regardless of denomination. An average unremarkable $2 note is worth $2, as an average unremarkable $5 note is worth just $5.
Well, to be sure, you'd need to post pics or at least the grade, series and serial numbers, but if nothing stands out, then yeah, probably.
Most 2 dollar bills are just worth 2 dollars. Just like any other bill they can be worth more but the average one is just worth face
Nice deuces guys. I generally don't collect them, but might have my teller look out for the 2009 series for me.
Gee, I sure hope at least some are worth more than $2 as I just spent $700 on a 1918 $2 note the other day. I'd be mighty peeved if I found out I over paid by $698! Guy
What is it about those pictures posted here that make them worth more than $2 ? is it the year or the numbers or the colors used, etc?? can anyone please offer advice so I can look through my group of bills and find if any of them are worth more than $2 ?
I sure would like to see your battleship deuce. The local coin shop had a star one in pretty poor condition sitting in a case for a long time for 150, it is gone now, or I might have picked it up.
There are several factors: The first note has a serial number prefix mismatch The next note has a great serial number, it's a star note, in great condition, and Steve collects serial number "12" notes The next notes include Minneapolis Federal Reserve District star notes — There's a low number of them printed The next note is a Series 1953 United States Note (red seal) in great condition — United States Notes haven't been printed since the 1960's
I heard only United States Notes are worth more...but not much more. Mostly only worth two dollars. Some exceptions noted above.
