You may know this already but the latest Greysheet speaks of the slump in commem prices. Wouldn't matter to me, that Oregon Trail is damn gorgeous!
I'd go for the Oregon Trail because that's the area I'm concentrating on now. Most of my commem's are in the blast white category so it might be quite pleasurable to add a beautifully toned specimen to the collection. Don't know if I'd go a grand for it though. I'd more than likely try to talk ya down a bit Lance.........
I can't decide between the Trade and 10 dollar gold. They're both so gorgeous, but I think I'll have to take the gold.
It would have to be the 1794 LC. I have a lot of bust halves, so that is why that one is not my choice. I was looking long and hard at the Oregon Trail, as I find them terribly attractive, but not over a nice example of US earliest coinage.
If I had an extra $1,000 dollars to blow, I would probably end up using it to help pay off student loans, but assuming those were all taken care of... I would have a really hard time deciding between the bust half and the trade dollar.
None of them fit in my sets. I would be forced to pass. Or maybe I would take one and sell it or trade it for what would fit into some of my albums.
