TV Reporter, no offense intended but your posts are like a broken record. How many times are you going to post the exact, same thing?

Yea, sorry about that. I initially asked an intern to set up an account for me while I was working on something else, and apparently she didn't read the rule! I apologized on another thread....

The issue (as I mentioned elsewhere) we're finding with THR specifically, is that they are LYING to customers providing false and misleading information… and THAT is illegal.

We brought in 13 18k pieces, and were told all were either 14kor 10k! They were stamped 750 or 18K!

We have plenty of evidence, we just need a victim now and I'm hoping someone here can help us track one down.

If you have evidence, why are you not turning it over to the police?

How did you find evidence without finding anyone who has bought from them?

Search the internet - even posts on this site. Their reputation is certainly suspect. Most states have plenty of laws on the books to stop them. If not for fraud they can attack them in other directions using state tax and the new tough scrap metal laws for instance. There are enough weapons there to levy some real hefty fines, penalties and jail time to keep them out of your state. If those responsible for enforcement were so inclined.

I think it's an interesting topic as it affects the sale of PMs. Companies that engage in illegal buiness practices hurt all of us, if only because they attract attention that may lead to more regulation.

So you're taking a chance at losing your lawsuit by publicly slandering a company? Sounds ignorant to me, I'm just sayin. Maybe you should google below information, I don't see the injustice. Am I missing your point?

[h=1]Why does gold jewelry sometimes have 3 digit number stamp on it and not karat number?[/h]

    Because .999 is not 24K.

Somebody needs to go to law school, that's all I'm saying. :D I wonder what THR & Associates would do if they knew somebody was smearing their name all over the internet?

A lot of countries do not use the Karat number system, they use a 3 digit number to mark the piece.

    Interesting.

Slander is the act of speaking false information in an attempt to damage a reputation.

Libel is the act of writing/publishing false information in an attempt to damage a reputation.

You accuse tv reporter of "slandering" THR $ Associates, by what they have "written" here. First, it was written, not spoken, so you should accuse them of libel. Second, for it to be libel, it has to be false information. Do you have any proof what they have communicated here is false? If you don't, then I shouldn't have to point out the irony in the situation...

Oh, I'm quite sure they're use to being smeared. A better question would be "what would THR & Associates do if someone actually prasied their marketing tactics over the internet?"

My point exactly and maybe that is what has happened in this case. :D

The point is, THR was selling gold marked "750", which is 18K. According to the OP, these pieces were falsely marked, as they proved to be either 10K or 14K.

Blaubart, :rolleyes:my point is 18k gold is 750. Therefore it looks like tv reporter doesn't have much of a case.

18K, 18ct or 750 (parts per 1000) or 75% gold. (Most quality pieces are 18kt Minimum gold standard for sale in Italy.)
