    Congrats on the finds!
If I were you I'd check the 1864 for the "L". I think that was that year.

Looking it up as we speak! =D
I also found a 1888 IH that I think may be 8/7 but it is just so hard to tell. Ughh I need a microscope!

Since you can't make out the "L" I don't think it will get a premium even it it was an "L" variety, but looking at the bust I think this is rounded and not pointed. Still a nice starting coin, my first 64'.

You are correct, it is not the L type. As for the 1909 I would call it XF45 although you could possibly squeak an AU out at service but for the submission costs it wouldnt matter. Cool pick ups for you-congrats.

Is it me, or is that a big ole' cud on the obverse of that Indian?

How did I miss that?! I thought it was just rim damage and didn't even look at it really. I was so focused on the date. It does look like it could be to me but I'm no expert.

What about the indian head? anyone have some ideas on its value? it does look like it has an extra chunk of metal on it

Looks to be in Good condition, but with the cud, that really knocks down the grade/value. I'd say it's a $1-$3 coin, well, that's as much as I'd pay for it.

And I bet Rodeo wouldn't be opposed to shelling out the pocket change for the Indian.

There are people calling that cud on the IHC...I am quite confident that it's PMD. I can probably put money on it stating that portion people are calling cud is actually part of the rim. It also appears that V.D.B has been cleaned too UNLESS it is how you took the picture
