Excellent! Probably told you about a "fee" in attempt to ward you off...

I'm seeing an uptick in these as well; I think they're finally getting around to releasing the 2011's in quantity.

    Ace,
Both these boxes I got were from BoA. They were enders of 2011 on both ends so I never even bothered to unwrap them. I just assumed with 100 enders of brand new dimes the middles were going to be much of the same. I hope this does not continue to happen. That is a killer score from the reject tube at the TD. I filled up the machine twice yesterday but only found a couple junk foreign coins.

You should ask your bank to ORDER boxes of half dollars - 99% of the banks will be glad to order them for you. We get 1 box a day from our "ORDER" bank. We sort the coins then RECYCLE that box at our "DUMP" bank (dump the coins in their counter, get a money slip, take it to the teller, get cash, go back to our ORDER bank for another box. No commissions, No fees, just Free Silver.

I guess next time I'll open a few rolls just to make sure are all 2011 before I return them. It was these larger towns where they move through more coin that were tripping me up, wasting my time, and cutting into my CRHing...oh yes, I'm addicted. What is going to happen on Monday with no banks being open....boy I got problems.

Ace, make sure you check your account to see if they don't just deduct it out?

I still don't understand how you guys find so much in the reject slot of the penny arcades...where exactly do you look? Every time I look in the tray where the stuff comes out there is nothing...

    Slamster (dig the name),
It's the PVC looking tube that leads down to the reject slot. Sometimes the coins are just sitting in there and don't come down all of the way. When they take the machine out to change the bags you can clearly see coins in there most of the time, if you are cashing in, those coins stuck in there should be yours. If nothing comes out I always try and reach in there a bit when checking the reject bin. Sometimes coins are right on the edge. Although I still have not found any silver in the reject, just foreign coins and clad that I run back through the machine. Your doing it right BTW, just give that tube an extra good sweep to see if anything is right on the edge.

    did a box of cents... still haven't found a wam. :( i did get 15 wheats (1918, 1920, 1934, and the rest were 40s & 50s), 11 canadian, and 2 1960-d small date.

Haven't had too much time to search boxes recently, though the dimes from TD are still awful. I did however get 2 dimes from someone dumping at a coinstar. Mercury dime and a 1961 Roosevelt

Oh...wow, so who knows how much change I have left behind? How much only the nasty slug pennies come out when I dump? I'll have to try that...I usually shy away alittle when they change the bags...

Either that or they just don't communicate. Either way, I'm happy. As I said before, I've moved so much money through them over the past 20 years I was going to make a stink if they tried to charge me. They didn't seem to care in the least. So, I wasn't going to push the issue!

You have nothing to lose by opening the rolls except a few seconds. If they are all 2011 you may go blind from the sheen, but I just dump them in my bag and move on. Some of the rolls have been really mixed and there has been Silver in with a ton of 2011's.

Slamster - I'll check, but I paid in cash so I'd assume they would have asked for it if they were going to charge me. Not once did anyone ask me for my account number.

As far as the rejects...you can't always see them all unless you fill the bags. When they pull the machine out you'll see the tube (it's like a PVC pipe that has the top 1/3 cut out but glides the coins to the reject slot on the machine). The problem is that the coins can get stuck in the tube. When the machines out...you'll see the coins. I just scoop them up, look through em, toss in the non-silver, and keep the good stuff. I always keep the foreign stuff too. I'm enjoying looking at that stuff with the kids.

    Nice boxes Fattony!

Btw, just got back from the one bank that it's taken 3 different times to finally get my weekly box...first time they didn't have it yet (truck wasn't there yet), second time system was down (no vault access), but third time got my box and ended up being a skunk. BUT...I did ask if she ever gets coins turned in (halves)...she pulled out 2 coins, one was a white 40%er :), and I said I'd take them, then she said she had $30 more in a envelope someone had turned in. Took those too.. :). Turns out there were 4 more 40%ers in there and 2 90%ers! This is my best pull from loose so far! Man I love this hobby!

Wow, you guys really have good luck with those halves :( I got $300 in halves this week from the bank (rolled) and got nothing.
I've also gotten about $200 in nickels, quarters and dimes, and out of that found one 1945 Wartime Nickel. I about screamed lol :)

Is it worth it to keep looking? I cant help but feel everything has been snatched up!

Regarding a 1999 WAM I found a couple months ago. It finally got back from PCGS and it was graded MS64RD :D

    Nice grade. Gonna sell?

I never have crap for luck with the reject slot at Penny Arcade, I think whatever branch Ace has found is a freakin' gol... wait, silvermine.

Picked up one box of halves, and they told me that they have $470 more (!) for me tomorrow night after work. :D

The one box I did pick up makes me quite hopeful about tomorrow... 15 40%'ers. Best box in a while.

Forgot to add, PNC will be getting in $1k for me tomorrow, so I should be able to do nearly three boxes tomorrow.
