In case you ever decide to buy from them, through ads or at shows, do yourself a favor and find another dealer. These are the rudest people I've ever dealt with in the coin world. Their ads are a come on and given the daily change in siler and gold prices, they will not honor a price comparable to what they are advertising. Also, the grading on their coins is not by any standards that i know of. I've never meat a dealer that overgrades a coin like these people.

You're not only wasting your time but your money when dealing with this outfit. Pm Yorkie01 for names. Both of them are friendly, easy to work with and polite. They honor prices, given daily changes and they are willing to work with you. Sarosi thinks everyone that buys from him is trying to rip him off when all we want is an honest answer.

He's one nasty guy in the coin world and people like him give the business a bad name. Stay away!

Yorkie01, I removed the recommended names you gave due to this being first post and possible spam. No offense intended.

    Welcome to the forum!

There is an old thread here at CT about him. I have never personally dealt with him...but based on what I have heard I will avoid: www.cointalk.com/t23586/

I stopped by their shop, which happens to be in my home town of Johnstown, PA, a couple of years ago. His wife was behind the counter and was completely rude to me. I asked if she had any Shield or V nickels. She said, "V nickels? Who cares?"

Who wants to deal with people like that?

Several months earlier I had tried to stop by with my dad, who's old and infirm, because I thought he'd enjoy looking around. Sarosi and his wife were there and his wife barked, "We're closed!" They might have just been closing, but I got the feeling it was because my dad looked disheveled. I felt like throwing a brick through their window.

moneyer12 i just love UK coins.......

there is one particular dealer in the UK which i would never trade with, he has got to be the most so far up his own ass person i have ever met, and tends to look down on people who are only in the market for budget coins because of their limited income. i have told this story before on this site but here goes, this guy advertised that he had a pontefract siege shilling from the english civil war.for sale so i went to his stand at the york coin fair, firstly as i was dressed in levis and a rugby shirt he continually ignored me to attend to other people who were smartly dressed. when i eventually got his attention he told me that the bargain box was at the end of the stand, when i politely informed him that i had wanted to buy his pontefract shilling he mockingly asked if wanted to pay weekly for it (obviously thinking that i couldn't afford the coin) i then told him that i was prepared to pay cash for the coin but because of his disparaging attitude i would rather leave a hole in my collection than buy it from him and told him politely to go and fornicate. however i did buy the coin from another dealer who has been a friend of mine for many years and he was hoping i would attend the show as he knew of my love of civil war coins,at a cheaper price that the obnoxious one had advertised.

any dealer who looks down on people who cannot afford to spend lots on coins will never get any custom from me.

Good question, especially judging from the threads posted here that go back years.

Last year I bought a PQBU 1883-S Morgan as advertised by them and it came back from PCGS as cleaned and circulated. I returned the coin to them and they simply mailed it back to me without either offering any refund or exchange. I also ordered two 21's Morgans (D+S) advertised as MS64 and they came back from PCGS as "altered surface"; no grade. Also returned them with no offer to replace or refund as Kathy simply returned the coins to me.

I'm sorry that you were screwed, but the next time you buy from anyone, it might be best if you use a credit card or PayPal.

I called them about a coin years ago. Didn't buy the coin and NEVER called back. Rudest sales rep that I ever dealt with.

Never ever heard anything positive about these people!
Avoid them like the plague! As living on the East coast their name is not one you wish to do business with for any reason.

Do not waste your time or money with these people; the rudest people on the planet and coins never live up to any hype. I ordered 10 MS64 PL coins and NONE came back as PL; what a waste of $ and of course they never offered anything in return!!!
