I picked up a 1996 Eagle that has some super nice toning. Im not the best at photographing coins, but I tried to get as much detail as I could.

Also, I got a chance to buy a 1884-o Morgan with nice toning.

Both coins have nice luster and MS details. I'm still learning about grading coins but I wanted to see if the morgan was MS or AU.

Throughout the time of me being there, I met a fellow collector who had been collecting for years. We were trying to determine what it would grade.

Any info would be helpful.

I ended up combing a few silver notes and blue seal $1 along with both coins.

(2) are * notes, and the other is a "lower" serial number. The lower * is Uncirculated I believe.

All others are in circulated condition.

Hey guys -

As mentioned in my other thread, I've got about 1000 Peace dollars and about 3000 Morgans to sell. They were not stored particularly well and they range in level of dirtiness or nicks and scratches, but below is a scan I just took of a random sample. Can anybody give me an idea of what type of grading these would call for on average? Details are probably VF to XF for most of them from the little I know, but I suppose the other factors subtract from that? I'm not sure how much "dirtiness" impacts grading.

Hi there -

I introduced myself in a previous thread and mentioned that I've got a large amount of silver coins, left behind by my dad, that my sister and I are in the process of selling. We've been focusing on all the junk coins first, of which there has been an enormous amount to get through. We've first searched for key dates before assembling batches to sell.

As I prepare to sell some of the older coins, I'm wondering if they should be fetching any premium over junk silver pricing. Again, I've pulled out anything Fine or better as well any key date coins.

From what I can see, it looks like bagged junk silver sells for a very nominal extra amount for bags of the older coins. Using various online references, it looks to me like Good or worse on these flavors of coinage still don't appear to command any premium for most common dates.

Thanks.

I enjoy having them in my album, but I have seen various people break them out of slabs and put the label on the back page.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
