I ignore certain people on this forum to protect myself from their personal attacks but yet I can still read what they write if someone quotes them..

Is there anyway around this or fix coming out for it?

CT really needs a live market PM ticker/widget available in the side columns.

This would be a very practical feature for the 'Bullion Investing' section of CT.

Above all, providing a PM ticker on CT would mean subscribing to the Bullion threads wouldn't require members to check out every single post every time a member posts the latest PM price at a given moments PM price rise without much else to read/discuss about.

If the PM ticker was a link to say, Kitco for instance, wouldn't hits to the link generate CT ad revenue and help offset operational costs of CT? Or is this sort of thing not allowed on the forum? Not sure how those aspects work here.

Just a thought.

A recent thread made me think the the current requirement for 10 posts to post in the Open and Auctions forums might be too small. A member recently admitted to "spamming their way to 10 posts" for the sole purpose of posting in the Open forum. Clearly, this is not the reason for the 10 post requirement...it's to prevent people from joining just to use the Open forum. Looking at the Open forum, most people who use it are participating members of CT. So, I feel that it would not hurt those members if the post requirement was raised to 50 or even 100 posts. IMHO, this would go a long way to preventing someone from "spamming their way into the Open forum" by making it more work than it's worth.

"randygeki, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?

If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation."
