An official state arms was created in late 1918, but wouldn't appear on their currency till a year later in 1919. This same emblem was used on notes issued between 1919 and 1923.
So I picked up these CU beauties for $4 each w/ free shipping. I like the 1957's because they are readily available in CU. I am surprised how many in circulated conditon go for almost this same price though. I know there were alot issued so they are not rare, but I still like these crisp notes in cons #'s. Happy day, Happy day :whistle:

Malawi - Added P-36a, P-36b and P-43c
The Malwai notes brings up an interesting topic of how history is written by the winners. Reverend John Chilembwe would be considered a traiter and a riot instagator or worse had things in Malwai not turned out for the best. Lucky for us and especially those living in Malawi, fair and ethical treatment of all peoples won out over slavery!
Thanks for looking :thumb:
