I am new at trying to collect state quarters, so I watch the Coin Vault Show and purchased "Annihilation II" giold quarter set give five extra items that were selected at random. I was so disappointed with this and have since returned it today. I received a total of three gold sets, five regular 2007, 4 regular 2004, 2 regular 2005 and the rest were different years. The extra items were 4 sets of nickels and the Barber Set.
I ordered these while I was watching the show and my understanding was that they would be 15 sets of random gold layer quarters, 1 set of Barber coins and 4 different extra coins sets. Am I that crazy or are you misleading the buyer. I have paid for shipping two ways over twenty dollars and have nothing to show for it.

I watch "The Coin Vault" quite regularly and enjoy seeing the variety that is offered. Quite often, I'll check the purchase price of your products versus identical products for sale on Ebay. In almost all cases, the asking price on Ebay is much less than their offering. Sometimes it is a discount of almost 90%. I would never, ever buy from the Coin Vault. What a SCAM!Click here to enlarge

Some of the package deals offered on TV are very tempting. But do yourself a favor, check other sources and listen to what they are really saying before you buy.

Sometimes (very seldom) they offer a good deal, but most of the times there is a catch to the sale. One well-known TV sales person was promoting their “gold plated” coins are a “limited issue” and “not to be minted again.” Since the coins they were selling were not gold plated at the US Mint therefore they DO NOT qualify as a true “Limited Issue.” Which also means that the coins were tampered with and only worth their face value?

Also......some of the GRADED coins being sold on TV are graded by a "second tier" TPG, which to some collectors are not equivelent to PCGS or NGC.

I have 54 Japanese coins ranging from the 1640s up to 1940s. No gold or silver, all either bronze, aluminum, or bronze aluminum. I have no idea how or where to start to figure out their value. Any suggestions?

I can probably give you an idea of what you have and the rough retail value of the coins in Japan. The chances are, though, if you have no precious metal coins, they probably wouldn't fetch much on the Japanese market, unless they were a special variety, or the later (Meiji era) coins were in exceptional condition.

First-- there were two reverses for the 1798-- a small eagle, and a larger eagle with a shield on its breast. Which one do you have?

Warning. Be careful with COINSHOP.COM aka COINUTS aka PCI. They "say" they will make you happy, but the fact is that they will screw you over. Do not trust them. Very bad company. Dishonest. Any questions, contact me at rarelyontime@aol.com. I am representing three highly dissatisfied customers.
